Wendy and Rodney attended the 2019 Day Hospitals Australia National Conference which was held in September with the theme “Day Hospitals – providing solutions for a sustainable health care system”.
The program addressed the many challenges faced by the private health industry, including the increased complexity of procedures performed in day hospitals, actions to inform consumers of the benefits of day hospital treatment and most importantly the sustainability of the day hospital sector. Over 300 delegates from a range of medical, health care and associated professions and industries attended to hear from inspirational speakers and industry leaders, including Dr Ian Jackson (past president of IAAS and President of IAAS Scientific Committee). It was also a chance for Rodney and Wendy to meet and network with many of her consulting and auditing clients.
Wendy has been a member of the Conference Program Task Force for the conferences in 2018 & 2019 and looks forward to assisting again with the 2020 conference as well.
